Do animated movies deserve more credit for storytelling?

Just finished re-watching Up and man, that opening scene still hits so hard! 😭 Sometimes I wonder if animated movies get overlooked as “just for kids” when, really, they’re telling some of the most powerful stories out there. I mean, Pixar and Studio Ghibli alone have such complex themes, but it seems like they don’t always get the recognition live-action movies do. What do you all think? Are animated films underrated for what they bring to storytelling? Would love to hear your favorites that really moved you!

Hello guys! I definitely think so! Animated movies have told some of the most emotional stories—Up and Inside Out come to mind. They connect in ways live-action sometimes can’t. 🎥💖
