Do movies with bad CGI age better than ones with great CGI?

Okay, hear me out. I was watching an old movie the other day, and the CGI was... let’s say, “vintage.” But it weirdly added to the charm and nostalgia, you know? Meanwhile, some modern movies with cutting-edge effects just feel “meh” a few years later. So, do bad effects kinda make movies timeless in a weird way? Or am I just romanticizing terrible CGI? Would love to know what you all think!

I totally get what you're saying! There’s something about the old-school CGI that gives movies a unique, almost nostalgic vibe. It’s like those cheesy effects make the film feel more authentic and memorable, right? On the flip side, some of today’s super realistic effects can sometimes lose their magic after a while. It’s definitely one of those “you had to be there” moments where the imperfections just make it feel timeless!
