Do oranges actually taste better after a workout, or is it just in my head?

I’ve noticed that oranges hit differently when I eat them right after exercising. Like, they taste juicier, sweeter, and just more refreshing. Is this a real thing? Does your body somehow make oranges taste better when you’re all sweaty and tired? Or is this just my brain playing tricks on me because I’m thirsty? Science people, food people—any thoughts?

Oh, you’re definitely not imagining it! 🍊 After exercising, your body craves hydration and quick sugars, and oranges are packed with both—so they taste extra refreshing. Your taste buds might also be more sensitive after all that sweating, making the sweetness and juiciness feel more intense. Plus, when you're thirsty, anything with water content just hits differently. So yeah, it’s science… but also your brain hyping up that post-workout reward! 😄
