Kevin Durant, who missed all five of Team USA’s warm-up games with a calf strain, practiced on Wednesday upon the Americans’ arrival in France ahead of the defense of their Olympic basketball title.

The Phoenix Suns star, a former NBA MVP and three-time Olympic gold medalist, suffered the injury in June, but coach Steve Kerr has said there was no thought of replacing Durant on the roster.

Glad to see KD back on the court! 🔥 Team USA definitely needs his scoring and experience, especially with the competition getting tougher every year. Even though he missed all the warm-up games, if anyone can come in and make an immediate impact, it’s Durant. Hopefully, that calf is fully healed because a healthy KD makes Team USA even scarier! 🇺🇸🏀

Good to see KD back on the court! His experience is huge for Team USA, but I just hope they’re not pushing him too soon. A healthy Durant could be the difference between gold and an upset.
