MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook Cagayan on Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. In a bulletin, the state seismologist said the tectonic quake happened at 9:48 a.m. and that its epicenter was located east of Dalupiri Island in Cagayan while its depth of focus was at 15 kilometers. Phivolcs also said the temblor was felt at Intensity III the province’s Calayan town and Intensity I in Burgos, Ilocos Norte. The earthquake, however, is neither expected to cause damage nor aftershocks, according to Phivolcs.
