The Philippines' Nesthy Petecio officially bagged the bronze medal following a bold match against Poland's Julia Szeremeta in the 2024 Paris Olympics women's boxing 57kg semifinals. Petecio lost by a split decision with a 4-1 score. 
Nevertheless, she joined Filipino participants Carlos Yulo and Aira Villegas in taking home an Olympic medal.
