Worms, in fact, have existed for a much longer time than even dinosaurs did, as we have seen.
The prior evidence of the worms came with the discovery of fossils belonging to the annelid worm. This fossil of a trilobite was discovered in what today is China and is believed to be about 514 million years old! This is than twice the time that dinosaurs are believed to have existed given that the first evidence of their existence was 252 million years.
