How accurate is the current generation of undress AI models?

I’ve been playing around with these undress-style AI models for a couple of weeks now, mostly out of curiosity, and I still can’t decide how “accurate” they actually are. Sometimes the output looks surprisingly consistent with the original body shape, and other times it clearly guesses wrong in weird places. Has anyone noticed certain patterns or tricks that make the results more reliable? I'm trying to understand if it's the model or just my images.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing. The models are good at filling in gaps when the pose is simple, but once you introduce shadows or odd lighting, you can see the AI start improvising. It’s not exactly wrong, but you can tell it’s making assumptions. When I tested a dozen images side by side, the ones with clean backgrounds were consistently better, while messy rooms or unusual angles made the model behave unpredictably. I also compared those results after chatting with a friend who’s trying out different AI systems, including some experimental ones like the bots on here , and he said the same thing — the model is only as accurate as the cues you give it. So I guess the trick is to control the input as much as possible, even if that feels a bit tedious. At least then you can see which errors are the AI’s fault and which come from the picture itself.

Interesting to hear both of your experiences. I always assumed the inconsistency came from the dataset the models were trained on, but what you’re saying about lighting and angles makes sense. I’ve only tried a handful of images myself and accuracy seemed random, so I might revisit them with your suggestions in mind.
