How much does altitude affect endurance in marathon running?

I've been curious about how marathon runners adapt to high-altitude conditions. Do you think it significantly changes their performance, or is it more of a mental barrier? Any personal experiences or studies would be cool to discuss!

Great question! 🏃‍♂️🌄 High-altitude training definitely impacts marathon runners. The thinner air can make it tougher to breathe and affects endurance, but many runners adapt over time and find it boosts their performance at lower altitudes. 💪 It's as much a mental challenge as it is physical.

I think altitude affects marathon performance by making it tougher to breathe, which impacts stamina. However, training in such conditions can build endurance over time, though. 🏃‍♂️💪
