Hezbollah has pledged to retaliate after an Israeli attack resulted in multiple fatalities and thousands of injuries across Lebanon. The incident occurred when pagers belonging to members of the Iran-backed militant group exploded nearly simultaneously, revealing a significant security breach and highlighting the extent of Israeli intelligence capabilities.

According to Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad, at least nine people, including a child, were killed, and approximately 2,800 were injured, with at least 170 in critical condition. The specific details of the injuries for others remain unclear.

This unprecedented attack raises the potential for increased tensions in the Middle East, already strained due to Israel's ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza. The event also exposes Hezbollah’s vulnerabilities, as its communication network was effectively compromised, following a series of targeted assassinations of its commanders.
