Jennifer Valente capped a stellar week at the Paris Olympics by winning her second gold medal in four days, securing victory in the omnium with a dominant performance. The U.S. cycling team had its best Olympics in four decades, winning three golds and six medals overall. Valente's victory, alongside Kristen Faulkner's wins in the road race and team pursuit, highlighted the team's success. The cycling events also saw Harrie Lavreysen of the Netherlands and Ellesse Andrews of New Zealand taking multiple golds, while other competitors like Emma Finucane and Matthew Richardson earned podium finishes despite fierce competition and some dramatic crashes.
