MAGNOLIA is still keeping faith in import Glenn Robinson III despite absorbing another tough loss at the hands of TNT, 88-82, on Thursday night in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. Coach Chito Victolero said the team hasn’t discussed the fate of the highly regarded former NBA slam dunk champion and is more focused on the team’s coming game against Terrafirma on Sunday. "Right now wala pa naman sa isip namin yun," said Victolero when asked about the fate of the son of former NBA star Glenn Robinson. Robinson, playing as an import for the first time in his career, still led the Hotshots in the loss to the Tropang Giga with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists. But he committed five of the team’s 18 turnovers, including an errant pass that was intercepted by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and led to a breakaway one-handed slam that knocked the wind off the Hotshots' sails in the endgame. Hollis-Jefferson stood head and shoulders above his fellow former NBA player with all-around numbers of 32 points, 19 rebounds, and seven assists despite playing with a hurting left ankle. The loss pushed Magnolia to a 1-2 record in Group B for fourth place, but Victolero is not pinning the entire blame on his import. The Magnolia coach said his locals also need to support Robinson, who had a highlight reel play of his own when he executed a 360 degree two-handed dunk late in the second quarter. "We’ll try to help Glenn on how we can improve his contributions to the team and we will talk again to Glenn so we can improve on our next game," said the Magnolia coach.

Hey guys! I think Victolero knows what he's doing, though replacing GRIII is a risky move. Let's see how it plays out! 🤞
