Milkfish (Chanos chanos) are known for their remarkable adaptability and can thrive in both saltwater and freshwater environments. They’re often found in coastal areas, estuaries, and even in brackish water lagoons. Interestingly, milkfish are also a key species in aquaculture in Southeast Asia, where they are farmed extensively for their delicious, mild-flavored flesh.
