Vietnam made significant strides in the FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup, clinching the bronze medal with a four-set victory over Belgium (25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17) on July 7, 2024. This marked a notable improvement from their eighth-place finish last year. Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen played a pivotal role, scoring 35 points, including 34 attacks and one block, after being limited to 12 points in the semifinals. Vietnam's strong performance was also supported by Nguyen Thi Trinh, who contributed 10 points, and Thi Thanh Thuy Tran with seven. Belgium's efforts were led by Manon Stragier and Pauline Martin, who scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, while middle blocker Britt Fransen added 11 points.
