In Philippines, Mayor Of Bamban, Tarlac, Alice Guo might be soon stripped off her powers n duties through a quo warranto case, after National Bureau Of Investigation (NBI) stated that fingerprints of the mayor matched with that of Chinese national, Guo Hua Ping. Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra said this discovery can pave the way for the filing of the case which is expected to be by next month. A quo warranto action involves a legal inquiry on whether a person legally occupies a particular public position or has the authority to perform an enterprise. DFA denies Guo’s claim of being a Filipino citizen, Senator Risa Hontiveros who disclosed the NBI findings alleged that Guo is a Chinese national who has sought to misleadingly assist various POGO-related illicit operations.
