Pluto, classified as a dwarf planet in our solar system, has an orbital period of approximately 248 Earth years. It was discovered in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh and was considered the ninth planet in our solar system until its reclassification by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 2006.
