A police recruit is currently suing Denver, the paramedics, and the implicated policemen after tragically losing both legs in a "barbaric hazing ritual." 
This horrific event has horrified the neighborhood and sparked important debate regarding the policies and procedures of the police academy. By pursuing justice and responsibility for the recruit's cruel treatment, the lawsuit hopes to start a larger discussion about the critical changes that must be made in order to stop abuses like this from happening in the future.
