In 1904, at the St. Louis Summer Olympics, the United States won the gold, silver, and bronze medals in men's 200-meter hurdles. What's remarkable is that only two athletes competed in the event: Americans Fred Schule and Thaddeus Shideler. Schule won gold, Shideler took silver, and there were no other competitors, resulting in an all-American podium sweep with just two athletes. This remains one of the most unique occurrences in Olympic history.

Wow. Certainly one for the books and a rare phenomenon. Hopefully, we could get another similar story for the next Olympics.
