Tens of thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets in protest following the recovery of the bodies of six hostages, who had been held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip by military forces. This event has sparked widespread national outrage. 😨

Protesters, many draped in Israeli flags, gathered in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other cities, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of failing to secure a deal for the release of the remaining hostages taken by Hamas in the October 7 attacks. 😟

While the protests on Sunday were mostly peaceful, some demonstrators breached police barriers and blocked a major highway in Tel Aviv. ❌🛣️

This serves as a major Israeli labor union, Histadrut, announced a nationwide general strike on Monday, demanding a resolution for the hostage situation.

The heartbreak and anger in Israel right now are palpable. It's devastating that this tragedy has escalated to such a point, with the government facing intense scrutiny for its handling of the situation. The public's demand for accountability and immediate action is understandable, especially with the lives of more hostages still at stake. Praying for a peaceful resolution and for the safety of all involved. 💔🇮🇱
