The U.S. men’s volleyball team advanced to the Paris 2024 semifinals after a thrilling 3-1 win over Brazil in their quarterfinal match. The Americans, led by Matt Anderson’s 20 points and strong performances from TJ Defalco and Max Holt, overcame Brazil in straight sets, setting up a semifinal clash against Poland. This marks the U.S.’s return to the semifinals after missing out in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Brazil's streak of consecutive semifinal appearances ends, and their captain Bruno Rezende bids farewell to the national team. The men’s semifinals will feature the U.S. vs. Poland and France vs. Italy, while the women’s quarterfinals are set to begin tomorrow.
