So, I recently heard about something called 'Paris Syndrome,' where tourists (especially from Japan) experience extreme culture shock and disillusionment when visiting Paris. It's said to cause anxiety, dizziness, and even hallucinations. Has anyone else heard of this or knows why it's so specific to Paris?

Wow, Paris Syndrome sounds intense! 😳 It’s fascinating how such a magical city can sometimes overwhelm visitors. I’ve heard it’s partly due to the high expectations versus the reality shock, plus cultural differences.

Yes, I've heard about Paris Syndrome! It's quite fascinating and unique. The extreme expectations of the city's romanticized image can clash with reality, leading to severe disappointment and stress, particularly among Japanese tourists. It's interesting how such a specific cultural phenomenon has developed.
