Flamingos often stand on one leg to conserve body heat. When they're wading in cold water, tucking one leg up keeps it warm and reduces heat loss through their unfeathered limbs. Who knew flamingos were such energy savers?

Never thought there is a deep reason for such action by flamingos. Who would have thought that. Amazing, indeed.
