Why do sandwiches taste better when someone else makes them?

Okay, serious question. Is it science, psychology, or magic? Why does a sandwich made by someone else (even if it’s just my friend making the same PB&J I always do) taste a million times better? Is there a “sandwich secret” they’re keeping from us?

I think it’s all about the surprise factor, though someone else’s touch always makes it feel more special.
