Why do some wines give you a headache?

Sometimes after just a glass of wine, I get a headache, but not always. Is it the sulfites, the type of wine, or something else? I’d love to know if others have experienced this and what’s causing it.

I've had the same issue! I’ve read that it could be due to a few things—sulfites, histamines, or even dehydration. Red wines are known to have more histamines, which can trigger headaches in some people. I also find that drinking water in between sips helps. Curious to hear what others think too!
