This contrasts with national sentiments, where fewer than 40% of voters think religious freedom is properly safeguarded in the U.S. overall. Likely voters in Utah are more likely to say that religious freedom protections are about right or too strong with 69% of the vote as opposed to 55% of the national vote. The online survey of 642 likely voters has 3% margin of error. 9 percentage points. According to the national expert Robin Fretwell Wilson, the people of Utah are very compassionate since the state boasts of the best religious freedom as a result of the residents’ understanding of others who have been banished.
