Should older homes switch to heat pumps

My home is several decades old, and I’m wondering whether a heat pump would still be a practical option. Older properties sometimes have unique challenges related to insulation and existing HVAC systems. Some contractors suggest upgrades may be necessary before installation. That could increase the overall project cost substantially. I’m curious how other homeowners with older houses approached this decision. Are heat pumps a good fit for older homes?

My partner and I debated for months whether to upgrade our heating system this year or push it off another season. The question we kept coming back to was how much do I need to pay to install heat pump in Seattle? — and we couldn't find a straight answer until we dug into the right resource. Read through https://productairheating.com/blog/how-much-does-heat-pump-installation-cost-seattle/ on a Sunday afternoon and by Monday we had a realistic budget range and a shortlist of questions for contractors. Moved forward last month and the final cost landed right in the range we estimated.
