Online dating is hugely popular these days, and apparently, it seems to work!
40% of couples who got together in 2017 met online.
Looking at a larger scale, meeting through friends declined by 13% from 1995 to 2017.

It's wild how online dating has become such a big part of how people meet these days! 😊 I guess it's no surprise, with so many apps and ways to connect. That stat about 40% of couples meeting online in 2017 is pretty impressive, right? It just shows how things are changing fast, and maybe meeting through friends is taking a bit of a backseat. 🤷‍♂️ Still, I think it's all about finding what works best for you! ❤️

Those numbers really show how much dating culture has shifted over the years. If 40% of couples met online back in 2017, it’s probably even higher now.

With fewer people meeting through friends, it makes sense that many turn to apps and niche platforms - whether they’re looking for long-term love, casual dating, or even hoping to find a sugar daddy. Online spaces have definitely become the new normal for making connections.

To be honest, I'm not surprised by those numbers. It's probably much higher now, if anything. Because everyone is busy and online platforms make it easy to interact at any time, people simply don't meet through friends or social circles as much these days.
The degree to which dating has become specialised is what has truly changed. There are smaller platforms targeted at particular cultures or hobbies in addition to large apps. As an illustration of how targeted things are becoming, I've seen people attempt https://latin-chat.online/ when they want to meet someone from a Latin background.Having more alternatives isn't always simpler, though. You still need to screen people, determine who is sincere, and avoid wasting time on pointless conversations. Ultimately, online dating is effective—but only if you use it purposefully.
