Does anyone else think spaghetti tastes different when it’s cut up?

Okay, hear me out. When I eat long spaghetti, it tastes… normal. But when I cut it into little bite-sized pieces, it somehow tastes different?? Is it just a texture thing, or is my brain messing with me? Would love to hear if anyone else has noticed this weird phenomenon.
