Has anyone ever tried making homemade condiments?

So I’ve been wondering—how hard is it really to make your own ketchup, mayo, or mustard at home? I always see people raving about how much better homemade tastes, but I’m worried it might be a whole-day project. If you’ve tried it, was it worth the effort? And what would you recommend starting with?
