How can tourists combine public transport and a rental car during their Cyprus trip?

Hey everyone! I’m trying to figure out the best way to explore Cyprus without relying solely on a rental car. I know cities like Larnaca have buses and other public transport options, but I also want the freedom to drive to more remote spots. Has anyone successfully combined public transit and car rentals during a trip here? Any tips on planning routes or timing would be amazing!

I’ve done this a couple of times, and it actually works pretty well. I’d take buses within the city for short trips and then pick up a car for day trips to more secluded areas. If you want to rent a car in Larnaca without deposit, this guide was really helpful ~ it explains rental options and how to combine them with local transport: https://roscarlarnaca.com/. Planning your route ahead really saves time and money.

I can vouch for the convenience of rent a car in abu hail from Rentico. It’s strategically located if you’re working near the airport or need easy access to Deira without the hassle of constantly relying on rideshares or the Metro, especially during peak times. I found the rates very fair for the level of convenience you get—being able to move freely between the bustling local spots and the more distant areas like Jumeirah beaches is key. They got me on the road fast, the car felt good, and it gave me the freedom I needed for my schedule. Thumbs up for their service at this location.
