To verify a PSIRA registration (for a security officer or company in South Africa), use the official PSIRA website.


PSIRA Individual Verification (using ID number)​


  1. Go to the official PSIRA website.
  2. Open Online Services.
  3. Select Individual Verification.
  4. Enter one of the following:
    • South African ID number
    • PSIRA number
    • Application number
  5. Complete any CAPTCHA/security check if requested.
  6. Click Search or Submit.
  7. Your verification results will appear, including:
    • Name
    • PSIRA registration number
    • Security grade (A, B, C, D, or E)
    • Registration status (Active, Suspended, etc.)
    • Certificate validity information

PSIRA Business Verification​


  1. Visit the official PSIRA website.
  2. Go to Online Services.
  3. Select Business Verification.
  4. Enter:
    • Company name, or
    • PSIRA business number
  5. Click Search.
  6. The system will show whether the company is registered and authorized to operate.

How to Know if the Verification Is Valid​
