While most clouds on Earth are fluffy white masses of water vapor, there are some truly bizarre exceptions. On certain gas giant planets like Jupiter and Saturn, extreme conditions lead to the formation of metallic clouds. These clouds are composed primarily of liquid metallic hydrogen, a substance with properties unlike anything found on Earth.
The concept of metallic clouds is mind-boggling! Could these metallic clouds contribute to the intense magnetic fields surrounding these gas giants?
