Why Continue Reiki Practice?

At first I treated my sessions as a short experiment, mostly because a friend kept nudging me to try something new. I didn’t expect much beyond a bit of relaxation, so I was surprised when I caught myself actually wanting to book the next one. There wasn’t a single dramatic moment, more like a steady pull to keep going. I’m curious what made others stick with it instead of dropping it after a few tries. What personal feelings or impressions convinced you to continue?

For me it was the subtle stuff that added up over time. After a few sessions, I noticed I wasn’t carrying the same mental heaviness into the week, even when work got hectic. Reading through Reiki in London helped me put words to that experience, since they talk a lot about creating balance rather than chasing instant results. I kept going because the practice felt grounding and familiar, almost like checking in with myself. It became less about solving a problem and more about maintaining that steady feeling.

I once overheard a conversation in a quiet waiting area where two people were chatting about habits they’ve kept over the years, from morning walks to weekly journaling. What stood out was how often they mentioned small, almost unnoticeable benefits rather than big changes. It made me think that people usually stick with something not because it’s flashy, but because it quietly fits into their routine and makes everyday life feel a bit more manageable.
