I was looking at a map (don’t ask why, I just went down a Wikipedia hole), and I found out that some countries just change their capital city like it’s no big deal. Nigeria moved it from Lagos to Abuja, Myanmar switched from Yangon to Naypyidaw, and Indonesia is literally building a new one called Nusantara.
Like… can you imagine waking up and suddenly your city isn’t the capital anymore?? What even happens to the old capital? Does it get sad and abandoned, or does it just pretend nothing happened?
If your country announced it was moving the capital, how would you feel? Would it even make a difference in daily life?
